Crossed

By Ally Condie

Book 2 of 3 (Book 1 is Matched Book 3 will come out in November of 2012)

This book was... ok... I didn't love it like I did Matched... but that could be because I had to wait a year to read it... (I hate series... and yet I sucked into a ton of them...I am sure that by time book 3 comes out, I will have no idea what happened...) This book was REALLY REALLY fast! and really hard to put down!

Would I recommend it? yes if you are ok with sci fy... and spelunking... But I would wait till October and then read all 3 books together...

The hotly awaited second book in the dystopian Matched trilogy. In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky--taken by the Society to his certain death - only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake. Cassia's quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander - who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia's heart--change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever.

The Best of Me

By Nicholas Sparks

(May I just start this by admitting that I LOVE Nicholas Sparks!!!)

I loved this book, Sparks Books for me are a HUGE escape!!! There were at times during this book that I felt like I was reading another Sparks book, but I still loved it! I am even ok with the ending... It could not have ended another way, and been ok with me!

Would I recommend it, it would be a great airplane, or beach day book... It is even a great: having troubles with a mom that I can't understand book!

"Everyone wanted to believe that endless love was possible. She'd believed in it once, too, back when she was eighteen." In the spring of 1984, high school students Amanda Collier and Dawson Cole fell deeply, irrevocably in love. Though they were from opposite sides of the tracks, their love for one another seemed to defy the realities of life in the small town of Oriental, North Carolina. But as the summer of their senior year came to a close, unforeseen events would tear the young couple apart, setting them on radically divergent paths. Now, 25 years later, Amanda and Dawson are summoned back to Oriental for the funeral of Tuck Hostetler, the mentor who once gave shelter to their high school romance. Neither has lived the life they imagined . . . and neither can forget the passionate first love that forever changed their lives. As Amanda and Dawson carry out the instructions Tuck left behind for them, they realize that everything they thought they knew -- about Tuck, about themselves, and about the dreams they held dear -- was not as it seemed. Forced to confront painful memories, the two former lovers will discover undeniable truths about the choices they have made. And in the course of a single, searing weekend, they will ask of the living, and the dead: Can love truly rewrite the past?

If I Should Die

By Jennie Hansen

This book was Good and FAST! (My favorite combo!!!) I really was not sure who the bad guy was, and it kept me guessing on every page!!! (I love that!)

Would I recommend it? Yeah sure, if you have 3 hours and a comfy chair, then read it! Once you get about 100 pages in, you can't put it down until it is done!

One morning on a routine jog, Kallene’s running partner, Linda, confides that she’s filing for divorce. The next morning, she’s gone without a trace, leaving behind her frightened young daughter. Since Linda’s enraged husband refuses to notify the police, Kallene steps in to initiate a missing person search, not knowing it would soon become a murder investigation — or that she’d soon fall for the charming lead detective. With Linda’s handsome brother also on her mind, Kallene must navigate the rapids of a double romance as well as the deepening suspicion in her upscale Utah neighborhood. Intrigue turns to danger as Kallene faces the consequences of hasty judgments. And when startling new evidence casts Linda’s murder as the work of a determined killer, Kallene needs the intervention of unlikely heroes to avoid being the next victim.

2012!

Happy 2012!!!

So here we are, a whole new year ahead of us!!! So what is my goal for this year???? Read books I LOVE! Last year I wasted time reading books that I slugged threw, and didn't even like!!! So this year, if I don't like it... I'm NOT going to read it!!! I have a lot less time this year, a lot more projects coming up, and I need to spend more time with my family... so if I DON'T love it, I'm not going to read it!!!
